Hi, First off, I'm new to forums, so I don't know too much about forum etiquette. I just hope you guys can help. I'm trying to create an environment where I can roam from room to room in my house. I've been looking into mesh systems like Google Wifi, but decided to keep using my router (ASUS RT-AC87U with Merlin) and access points thoughout the house since I have a hardwire to all rooms. My first question would be whether my router is suitable for this. I can't find any information about this.Next, which Access Points (if possible under or around 100 euro) can I use for this. I've been looking at the Ubiquity Unifi AP-AC-LR or PRO. Would these work well together with my router? We have 3 floors, and the router, for now, is situated in the hallway. The (5Ghz) signal throughout the first floor is about dhb -60 to -65. Would an access point on the first floor add to the signal (as in: will both signals combine into one stronger signal? or will the receiver always choose the stronger signal. Thanks!
